My Kids
Well I have my own in home studio now, I put it up when I need it and take it down when I’m done…Someday I will have one up all the time but for now this works. I have a photo shoot this weekend so I set up the studio early and asked my kids for some shots!! Well that is like pulling out teeth!!! They are fine for about the first 5 minutes and then I lose them…I managed to get a few great shots, I think my Christmas card might be done for this year! 🙂 🙂 🙂
This and That…
Learning new techniques in Photo-shop is awesome! It’s so cool to take a good photo and transform it into something amazing! I looked through some of my favorite photos I had and re-edited them with the new things I have learned. I love how these came out, I am learning new things everyday -photography is my creative outlet…
Love the emotions in this photo…and the warm light helps the feeling of LoveThe Black and white high contrast makes this photo seem a bit mysterious…Brightened up the colors and sharpened it up a bit with a little cool tones to add a fall feel to the photo. This shot was a bit dark and dreary…with the pink burst of color, it brightens it up a bit and gives it some warm tonesAdded a bit of Grey to the background and brightened his face, so we can feel the crisp fall/winter air.Major edit on color, and added a bright sunspot…don’t you want to just follow the bridge to see where it’s taking you?
This shot is just perfect! Just tweaked the contrast, color, and added a vignette and done!
I wanted this photo to have a very somber feel, winter is around the corner and we don’t want fall to end… so the color edit says it all….Color edit, brightness edit, eye enhancement, hair sharpening and more…Love how this came out!
LOVE this shot. as it was but…I had to see what it could be. made it a bit on the warm side, added some champagne color overlay, and added a burst of champagne to brighten it up a bit.The peach mist adds a little something…..
This one is an oldie….LOTS were done to this photo..Love the action shot….to make him stand out more I added a dark vignette around him …but brightened him up a bit.
Quality on this one is not so great, but the color of the sky has been edited, and he has been brightened up a bit.
NIAGARA FALLS, CANADA
So my family and I decided to take a quick trip to Niagara Falls. 7 hours there and 7 hours back and only 24 hours in Niagara. As you can imagine my kids were thrilled!! But the trip was actually a lot of fun (well at least for the adults anyway) . I have been so busy that I finally had some time to look through some photos I had taken. These are just a few of my favorites, we were lucky because we got to see the fireworks right from our hotel Window. The Rainbow Bridge was amazing…So I added a little HDR and made it stand out even more….
The Fireworks from our window….we had the perfect view!
Always Trying New Things
Ok, so I’m in the process of collecting new photography props and backgrounds, for outdoor and in studio shoots, and I came across “DIGITAL props and backgrounds” on line. Although I do have a green screen (which I barely use), I found this rather intriguing. So I proceeded to purchase a few and try them out. I have to admit they are ALOT of work and VERY time consuming, especially if you are using existing images shot without a green screen, however I found it so much fun… These results are not perfect, however with time and practice I’m sure I will master it. More digital background photos to come in the near future I’m sure . 🙂This photo fit perfect into the hat box, and the look on her face is priceless…
I also wanted to see how it would look in black and white, not sure which one I like more…
This one had so many options, I had a ton of photos that would have worked in this wagon. I Love the final result.
With this one I had to alter the color a bit to make it fit and not look edited. Below is the spot color version, I could not decide which one I liked better.
This one was a lot of work, finding a baby laying in the exact position I needed it to be was virtually impossible, but I went into my archives, and found just one. With a bit of maneuvering i got it to work. I absolutely LOVE this scale! I may have to find and buy an actual scale now…
